  • Natural & Unglazed: Since this great terracotta pitcher is made of whole natural unglazed terracotta, it is completely natural and healthy safe, 100% eco-friendly, and truly rustic. As produced from natural earthenware, it is a healthy, safe, traditional, and elegant way of drinking.
  • Handmade & High-quality: This terracotta beverage jug has been delicately handcrafted from high-quality terracotta in the Cappadocia region of Turkey.
  • Healthy Way of Drinking: The mud jug is free of any other harmful chemicals. Therefore, clay bottle offers very healthy and tasty drinking. The lid on the pitcher protects the liquid inside the pitcher from dust or any other substances.
  • Self-Cooler: This revolutionary self-cooling water pot makes the water inside it cooler. The water jar neutralizes the PH level and adds a natural flavor of water, thus giving a chill and natural taste to water.
  • Vintage Unique Design: The terracotta water jar has a vintage, antique, unique, and cute design with a wide mouth and a terracotta lid. Thanks to the traditional elegancy, it can be used for decorative purposes. It can be used on special occasions like wedding ceremonies or for garden & kitchen décor.
  • Optimum Size & Capacity: The earthenware pitcher has 3 sizes. The large pitcher is 6.5 Quarts (6.2 L), the middle pitcher is 4.7 Quarts (4.5 L), and the small pitcher is 2.8 Quarts (2.7 L).

REASONS TO USE CLAY PITCHERS

Naturally Cool Water

These pitchers work on the principle of vaporization, which helps in cooling down the water. As the clay pitcher is porous, it gradually chills down the water. This is a quality that no other container has.

Beautifully Handcrafted and Rural Empowerment

This terracotta comes in beautiful shapes, forms, and original clay colors. We can find beautiful earthy designs with a rustic feel of unbeatable nostalgia. By using them, we also contribute to rural empowerment.

Natural Type of Jug

One of the most natural types of jug used since the beginning of humanity is clay. We can use these for different purposes such as decorating our home or garden or drinking water from these safe pitchers.

WHY IS THE WATER STORED IN A TERRACOTTA PITCHER COOL AND HOW DOES IT TASTE SO DELICIOUS?

The most important feature of the terracotta is having small pores on its surface. The water inside leaks slightly through these pores. Leaking water evaporates by taking the heat on the surface of the bottle and lowering the temperature of the water. By filtering the water naturally, the same pores add flavor to water and make it delicious.

WHY ARE THE PITCHERS CRYING?

Water pitchers are locally known as the crying pitchers. These clay pitchers are designed to slightly sweat the outer surface so that the water inside cools naturally. Therefore, some small drops of water can be seen outside; this does not mean it is cracked or leaking. It is

quite normal for it to come to this state. However, over time, the flow of liquid will slow down a little more since the pores are filled.

CLEANING & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

There is no need to re-bake since the pitchers are baked at high temperatures in modern ovens. Any initial process is not needed; just wash, rinse and start to use it. After washing the pottery, do not put it in the box or cupboard before it is completely dry. Store it in a dry and well-ventilated area. Otherwise, mold or odor may occur.

WARNINGS

  • Do not wash the terracotta with soap or detergent, because the porous clay will absorb the soap.
  • Do not rub with steel wool; it may scratch the surface of the pitcher.
  • Hand washing is recommended.
  • Do not wash it in the dishwasher. Also, avoid high temperatures and harsh detergents which can damage the clay.
  • Do not expose it to sudden temperature changes to avoid cracking.
  • Protect against impacts.
  • Leave a protective material under it and choose the ground on which it will be placed carefully because the pitcher sweats.
  • Since each pitcher is unique, there may be small scratches on its surface that will not affect the usage. Also, there may be slight variations in its shape, dimensions, and volume.
